Trips for Kids has three programs...
The Recyclery is a bike shop specializing in high-quality bikes for adults and children! These fully refurbished bikes cost a fraction of what they would cost new, and all proceeds support Trips for Kids Birmingham.
There's nothing more special for a kid than experiencing the freedom of riding a bike. Earn a Bike students learn leadership, life, and practical skills – including how to maintain and repair a bicycle – while serving their community at the Christian Service Mission in downtown Birmingham. After six weeks of weekly classes and riding, students walk away with a free bike of their own... they earned it!
Sign your child or group up today for a trail ride – it's completely free, including bikes, helmets, waters, gate fees, and lunch. All you have to do is check the ride calendar, sign up for an available date, sign waivers, and show up... that's it!
"Trips for Kids is the
perfect field trip"
"It is exciting, challenging, out of the ordinary, and physically and mentally healthy. It gets kids outside and into nature. Best of all, safety is the absolute priority of Trips for Kids which is able to accomodate kids of all fitness levels and backgrounds.
Teachers, summer camp directors, and youth group leaders should all consider this option for their next outing. The preparatory paperwork is simple. As for the trip itself, all you have to do is get your kids there and Trips for Kids will do the rest. And let's not forget – it's completely free of charge."
